
The member representing Jos North-North constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly Hon. Adamu Aliyu, has congratulated Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe on his victory at the the Court of Appeal which declared him the governor of the state.
Hon Aliyu, who is also the Minority Whip of the House, said he was thrilled about the judgement.
This was contained in a statement by the lawmaker issued by his personal assistant, Huzaifa Saidu Galadima, on Monday in Jos.
The statement said, “Although the outcome of the appeal didn’t come to me as a surprise, knowing full that Nentawe Yilwatda has indeed legitimately won his election and judiciary would always give justice to whom justice is due, he is excited because the sacred mandate given to him by the good people of Plateau state is further secured.”
He stated that Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe was a true leader and servant of the people whose progressive mind and versatility in politics gave him uncommon strength beyond the reach of the oppositions, no matter their antics.
Aliyu also congratulated the people of Plateau state, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and all supporters and well wishers of party across the country on the victory.
He commended the legal team of APC at national and state levels for their professionalism and experience in seeing the party through the legal challenge.
Adamu Aliyu called on the opposition to put the interest of the state first, shelve any idea of further legal challenge that would end in futility, join hands with Nentawe Yilwatda in his development agenda and wait for 2043 to try their luck.
