Alia places N10m bounty on attackers of Benue legislator’s residence 


The Benue state governor, Hyacinth Alia, has promised a ₦10 million bounty for anyone that will give useful information leading to the arrest of  suspected gunmen who attacked the private residence of member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Hon. Solomon Wombo.


The governor also charged security agencies to work tirelessly to locate the suspects and bring them to face the full wrath of the law, and ensured greater security and safety for all citizens of the state.


In the late hours of last Saturday, some armed men invaded the residence of Hon. Wombo, and demanded to know his whereabouts.


They also brutalised his housekeeper, leaving him with various degrees of injuries and insisted that the main flat of the house must be opened for them to search.


Reacting to the incident Governor Alia in a statement issued Monday by his chief press secretary, Tersoo Kula, stated that his  government will offer 10 million naira to anyone that will give useful information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects.


He condemned the attack and stated that his administration will not watch criminals terrorise innocent people in the state.


He promised that his government will do everything in its power to ensure the suspects are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.
