Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue state has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the success of Lobi Stars Football Club, pledging full support to the team.
During a surprise visit to the club’s training camp Thursday at McCarthy stadium in Makurdi, Governor Alia assured the players of his unwavering support, stating that his administration means well and is dedicated to the team’s success.
Accompanied by the club’s Chairman, Dr. Philip Nongu, and other top dignitaries, Governor Alia addressed the team, saying, “I’ve come to see your faces.
“This administration means well. When the season started, the road was rough, but now you have people who can take you to the promised land.”
He also promised to expedite the club’s return to their home ground, adding that the team will have a new narrative and rise to greater heights.
The club’s Technical Adviser, Daniel Amokachi, expressed gratitude for the governor’s visit, pledging the team’s maximum cooperation.
Captain Solomon Kwambe, speaking on behalf of the players, promised that the team would deliver and make the governor and the state proud.
Governor Alia’s visit has reignited optimism within the team as they prepare for their second stanza opener against Heartland FC in Owerri.
