Governor of Nasarawa state, Alhaji Tanko Al-Makura, has been urged to complete work on the state Liaison Office along Katuru Road in Kaduna to boost economic activities of the state.
Chairman of Nasarawa State Youth Forum, Kaduna state chapter, Comrade Moses Jikka McDanie, made the call in Kaduna.
He said in a press statement that abandoning the Liaison Office work had turned the entire compound into a hideout for criminals.
McDaniel commended the development activities of Al-Makura in the last three years, saying that the governor had done well in almost all the sectors of the economy.
The youth chairman also appealed to the governor to establish youth empowerment centres in all the 13 local government areas “so as to train youths on entrepreneurial development.”
He said training youths the on skill acquisition would enable them to be self-reliant and enhance their development.
He called on the people of Nasarawa state to be peace loving and shun any act of violence with a view to ensuring peace, unity and togetherness.
McDaniel, who described peace as the “only key to success and progress,” said if the people of the state maintained peace and support Governor Al-Makura, they would continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
