Al-Makura donates 2 vehicles to Radio Nigeria

Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has donated two vehicles to Radio Nigeria Precious FM Lafi a, an 18-seater bus and a Nissan salon car to the management of the station. A statement issued by the Special Assistant Media and Publicity to the governor, Ahmed Tukur, said the governor had promised to continue to assist media organisations in the state to carry out their assignments without hindrance or encumbrances. Th e statement said the donation was in fulfi lment of the promise made by the governor to the general manager of the station, Musa Abdullahi, last week.

Al-Makura said as amedia friendly governor his administration would ensure that they operate in a conducive environment to enhance their effi ciency that “will bring rapid development and dissemination of the activities of government.” He urged them to always abide by the ethics of the profession to avoid misrepresentation of facts. He also promised to construct the road leading to the Media station from Shendam road Lafi a to ensure easy access by staff and other media users in the state. He said the media as the mirror of the society had a great role to play in the success of every administration, while calling on the media to always give constructive criticism that would assist government carry out its function for the overall development of the state.

In his vote of thanks, the general manger, Musa Abdullahi, thanked the governor and promised to project the image of the state in addition to publicising the activities of the state government and its agencies
