Governor Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has distributed 17 brand new GAC model of vehicles to members of the state executive council in the state.

AL-Makura said the set of the commissioners are vibrant and making him proud by the way and manner they carrying government activities in their various ministries, thereby assured the indigenes that all sets of political appointees would be giving their fair due.

According to him, “this is an impetus to me so that you can give your best to the people of Nasarawa state.”

The governor also explained that buying of the vehicles “does not in any way affect the welfare to the civil servants,” adding that “this has nothing to do with the welfare of the workers in the state.”

He promised that workers “will get their 100 per cent salaries from Wednesday” (today).

Al-Makura, therefore, appreciated the commitment and support given by the people to his administration, saying that their continued support “will definitely take the state to a higher level before his administration lapsed in 2019.”

He used the medium and warned people who break law with impunity to please hold it because government would soon embark on urban renewal.

“When we embarked on this urban renewal, whoever is affected by what he has done wrongly should have himself to blame.”
