Akwa Ibom traders applaud Eno on N1.5bn interest-free loan 

Traders under the aegis of Akwa Ibom Traders Association have commended Pastor Umo Eno for 1.5 billion naira interest-free loan disbursed to them to boost their businesses.

Giving the commendations Weekend during an enlarged meeting held in Uyo, the traders expressed appreciation for the governor’s efforts towards the development of trade and commerce in the state within one year in office.

While applauding Pastor Umo Eno for his achievements and continuous support to the welfare of the traders, they passed a vote of confidence on him on the occasion of his first anniversary in office.

The group commended the president of the union, Akparawa Idorenyin Raphael, for performing creditably well in representing their interests and facilitating the implementation of the governor’s initiatives in the market sector.

They further highlighted the various achievements of the governor in the market sector, which has not only helped to enhance their trading activities but has also lifted them out of poverty and empowered them to grow their businesses.

Speaking, Raphael who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Traders’ Matters, noted that their loyalty and support to Eno’s administration in the remaining seven years is guaranteed.

He further assured the governor of their “cooperation and collaboration in the implementation of his policies and programmes, aimed at developing the state and improving their livelihood.”
