Aisha Buhari assists Numan, Mubi attack victims

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari has through her NGO, Future Assured, distributed consumables and financial support to the victims of last week Boko Haram attacks in Numan and Mubi local government areas of Adamawa state.
Presenting the assistance to the victims receiving treatment in Yola Specialist Hospital and Federal Medical Centre, representative of the first lady, Aisha Ahmed Rufai, said the gesture was geared towards ameliorating the sufferings of the victims.
The first lady further commiserated with those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incidents as well as the injured and urged them to see it as an act of God.
She also promised to keep on supporting them in whatever way possible at all times and called for continuous prayers.
Also speaking, Coordinator of Future Assured in the state, Bilkisu Tukur, described the incident as heart-touching and urged other organisations to also support the victims, explaining that the incident called for collective action by all and sundry.
Speaking earlier, Chief Medical Director of Yola Specialist Hospital, Dr. Bala Mohammed said the hospital received 34 victims out of which 22 were admitted.
According to him, out of the number, two were critically ill while 20 were responding to treatment and commended the first lady for her gesture, which he described as a welcome development.
