Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police, Kanayo Uzuegbu has assumed duty at the Zone 9 Police Command Headquarters, Umuahia, Abia state capital.
In a press statement issued by the Public Relations Officer(PRO) of Zone 9 Police Headquarters Umuahia, SP Iheanetu Bruno Chukwudera, he said, “AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu takes over from AIG Suleiman Amuda Yusuf who has been promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) (Rtd.) following his retirement.”
“A native of Umuaka in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, he enlisted in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (C/ASP) in 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons) degree in Philosophy from the University of Port Harcourt, a Higher Diploma in Strategic Studies from the University of Maiduguri, and a Master of Science degree in Peace and Conflict Resolution from the prestigious University of Nigeria.
“AIG Uzuegbu has had a distinguished career in the NPF, holding numerous key positions in various state and zonal commands, as well as at the Force Headquarters in Abuja”.
