The member representing Owan West Constituency has been elected speaker of Edo State House of Assembly during its inaugural sitting on Friday.
Barr. Marian Edekor, who represents Esan North-East Constituency 2, also emerged as deputy speaker of the 8th assembly.
Agbebaku, was a member of the Assembly between 2007 and 2011, while Mrs. Edekor, is a former commissioner of Social Development and Gender Issues.
The duo are members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State.
Agbebaku who emerged through consensus promised to promote cordial relationship between the legislators and executive.
