Again, NAPS speaks on ‘increasing school fees’, Tinubu’s executive order

The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has kicked against the increment of school fees by tertiary institutions in the country.

This is as the students also commended President Bola Tinubu for given Executive orders on Federal institutions to stop the arbitrary increase of school fees.

NAPS in a statement released on Saturday by its Senate President, Adeniji Boluwaji Temitope warned institutions against disobeying the President’s executive order, adding that any institution that go against order by effecting increment will see the wrath of the students community.

The statement reads partly: “The leadership of the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) stands against the increment of tuition fees across all Polytechnic and other affiliate institutions that offer and award National Diploma ND and Higher National Diploma across Nigeria, is no longer news that the President Federal Republic of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR as given Executive orders on Federal institutions to stop the arbitrary increase of school fees.

“The executive order said that federal institutions across the country have been ordered by President Bola Tinubu to stop the “arbitrary increase” of school fees. In which the Leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) agreed to stand against any school management who intend to go against this Executive order of the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, no Federal Polytechnic should increase any School Fee, any Management that tried to go against this order will see the Violence Side of the Leadership of National Association of Polytechnic Students ( NAPS).”

NAPS, while commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this kind gesture towards Nigerian Students, equally appealed to the President to put in place more measures to cushion the negative impact of the Hardship on Nigerian Polytechnic Students.
