Afcon Qualifier: Ahmed Musa promises Congo defeat

  Bemoans NFF crisis

Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa has assured Nigerian soccer fans that Congo will be beaten silly in the Cup of African Nations qualifier slated for Calabar on Saturday.
He said he and his teammates are not only determined to ensure that Nigeria qualifies for the Afcon but will successfully defend the trophy won in South Africa last year.
Ahmed Musa who scored two goals against Argentina at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, boasted that the Congolese cannot be an impediment to Eagles’ way to Morocco next year as all the players are ready to put in their best in the encounter.
“We will go at them from the blast of the whistle and make sure that they leave Calabar with bagful of goals. We are focused and I don’t see the Congo team surviving the Super Eagles fire power.” he boasted.
The CSKA Moscow player however frowned at the ongoing crisis in the Nigeria Football Federation saying that it does not augur well for Nigeria’s image abroad even as he called on the authorities to settle the crisis.
“I don’t think it speaks well of our football and image if our football administrators have to be fighting all the time they want to conduct elections, but it will be a nice thing if they can resolve their differences amicable,” Musa counselled.
The former Kano Pillars star assured that the crisis will not in any way affect their game on Saturday stressing that they have all it takes to win without underrating the visitors.
Speaking in similar manner, Ambrose Efe, said the team will play their usual game with the hope of winning very well.
He noted the Congolese will not come easy but promised that Nigeria will emerge victorious after 90 minutes of the game.
