Nigeria’s premier carrier, Aero Contractors on Tuesday disclosed that it is seeking for investors to invest in the airline following it successful turnaround from a negative 69 per cent position in 2022 earning a profit of 14 per cent this year just as it announced a slash to the tune of N80, 000 for a one-way ticket fare to any destination the airline operates into.
The investment, its Managing Director, Captain Ado Sanusi, said, is aimed at boosting its vision of having ten aircraft in its fleet adding that the firm is on a recovery trajectory having ensured a 33 per cent reduction in its liabilities while also completing its overdue salary payments which highlight the airline’s commitment to fulfill obligations.
Speaking of the price reduction in its airfare to aviation correspondents in Lagos, Sanusi declared that “We are in the spirit of giving, which Christmas embodies. We believe that as a company, this is a very old story of understanding its customers. We believe it is time for us to give back to our customers”.
“We know what the people are going through because of the economic hardship because of the high prices of tickets considered to be very high. We at Aero Contractors have concluded to announce the Christmas initiative which is pocket-friendly. These prices are designed to allow Nigerians to travel to all destinations without paying too much”.
“Our prices will start from 80,000 to all of our destinations, and we intend to make it affordable to flying public. And this is to allow the flying public/families to meet their loved ones during this Christmas season.” He affirmed.
