The administrator of Kings of Kings Junior Secondary School, Mr. Edward Rotimi Olayebi, is currently cooling his feet at the headquarters of Edo state police command for ‘assaulting 11 female students.’
Olayebi is said to be the son of the school’s proprietor.
The state police spokesman, DSP Friday Uwoh Noble, who confirmed the development to newsmen, said investigations were still on.
Blueprint gathered that some vigilant inhabitants in the institution neigbourhood had expressed worry after observing that some female students remained in the school till between 5pm and 6.30pm every day.
The daughters were said to have opened up on the alleged sexual escapades of the school administrator, a development that infuriated their guardians.
The parents afterwards reported the matter to the Child Protection Network, an organisation reputed for ensuring that suspected rapists faced the full wrath of the law.
Members of the NGO led by its coordinator, Barrister Jennifer Ero, and parents on Wednesday staged a protest to the school demanding for justice.
Ero said they were informed about the suspect’s sexual activities with the students through their hotlines, adding that investigation showed that six of the 11 students were sexually abused.
She said they were working towards ensuring that the suspect was charged to court.
However, owners of the school debunked the assault claim, stating that the allegation was meant to tarnish the school’s image- a defense that reportedly infuriated the protesters.
