Adamawa PDP assures defecting lawmakers of equal treatment

Adamawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assured the three lawmakers who defected from the All Progressives (APC) to the party of equal treatment and fairness along with the old members.

Its chairman, Chief Joel Madaki, who received the three legislators t the party secretariat, said they were in the secretariat in solidarity with the party along with members of their constituency.
He said: “The party is happy to receive you into our fold as members of PDP. Irrespective of the fact that you are new entrants to the party, you will be treated equally with the old PDP members.”

He said President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, were supposed to be in Yola sometime back to receive the defectors, but postponed it because of the security challenges in the North-east.
Madaki, however, said adequate arrangements had been made to receive the three legislators and their supporters as well as the former Military Administrator of Lagos state, General Mohammed Buba Marwa (rtd), the former ACN gubernatorial candidate in the state, Engr. Markus Gunduri, along with their supporters.
