Adamawa APC suspends 3 party officials for anti-party activities

The opposition All progressives congress(APC) in Adamawa state has suspended 3 party officials in the state for their failed and illegal attempt to withdraw the petition filed by the party before governorship election partition tribunal challenging the declaration of Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic (PDP) as winner of the governorship election without the party authorization.

The suspension followed the adoption of the report and recommendations of the disciplinary committee set up by the party to investigate the affected officials for their roles in the aborted attempt to sabotage the party efforts.

In a press statement made available to journalists in yola signed by the state publicity secretary of the party, Mohammed Abdullahi, he gave the names of the suspended officials as Alh. Aliyu Bakari the party vice chairman central zone,  Alh. Saidu Naira the state financial secretary of the party and Alh. Babangida Talase the party chairman of Mayo Belwa local government who also doubled as the Algon chairman of the party in the state.

Mohammed Abdullahi further explained that Aliyu Bakari has been suspended indefinitely while the two remaining officials were suspended for the periods of six months and all of them have been relief of their positions in the party.

He stated that the suspension is in line with the provisions of the party constitution and warn against sabotaging the party interest for selfish reason.

He added that the state executive committee has approved the suspension with immediate effect and that the matter has been referred to the National Secretariat of the party for further action.
