As power tussle been ensued in  the political family of  Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state continued to deepen, the governor has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle which affectsedthree commissioners.
A press statement issued and signed by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Malam Ahmad Sajoh, had indicated that the three affected Commissioners included those of Ministries of Local Government Affairs, Higher Education and Culture and Tourism.

According to the statement, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr. Drambi Ngidda, was to move to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, while Ahmed Batuwa was moved from Culture and Tourism to Social Integration and Dr. Salihu Bakari was moved from the Ministry of Local Government Affairs to the Ministry of Higher Education.
Though the statement did not advance any reason for the reshuflement, pundits argued that it could not be unconnected with power tussle between Nyako’s son Abdul’Aziz and some commissioners that were bent on scuttling his political ambition.
For nearly past one year, there had been a cold war between Nyako’ s son and the former Commissioner of Local Government Affairs, Dr Salihu Bakari, who is also Nyako’s  in-law.

Bakari, who married Nyako’s son, was believed to have been making frantic efforts to succeed his father in-law come 2015, a situation that spurred the governor’s son to block the move.
Reports indicated that Bakari, now the Commissioner for Higher Education, is enjoying the support of the 21 local government chairmen in the state, while Abdul’Aziz Nyako succeeded in taking control of the state leadership of the APC.
