Abu Ibrahim gives N5.7m scholarship to Katsina students

Senator Abu Ibrahim, representing Funtua senatorial zone in Katsina state, has supported final year students studying in various tertiary institutions in zone with N5.7million. The scholarship is a project allowance; to assist the students come out in flying colours.

Coordinator of the programme, Alhaji Abu Badamasi, who made the disclosure during the distribution exercise, said those to benefit from the programme are final year degree, NCE and diploma students writing their final year projects.

He disclosed that each of the 10 local governments in the area was allocated N.5 million while Funtua local government got N.750 million because of its size and population.

He noted that, for the past 10 years the senator has been supporting students with registration fees, purchase of WAEC, NECO and JAMB forms to ease the burden from their parents.

Badamasi therefore advised the students to be committed to their studies and use the funds judiciously to enable them make the zone proud.
