ABU alumni AGA to discuss students loan scheme 

The Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Alumni Association, has scheduled activities to mark its 16th Annual General Assembly (AGA) including an annual public lecture to discuss the Students Loan Scheme Act 2023 and funding of education in the country. 

President of the Ahmadu Bello University Alumni Association, Dr. Ibrahim Sani Khalid, told journalists in Kaduna Sunday that the lecture titled: “Positioning Nigeria Students for Loan Scheme” will be delivered by an ABU alumni and secretary general of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Malam Murtala Aliyu. 

Dr. Khalid also stated that apart from the lecture, there will be a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the alumni association and National Consultative Council meeting of the association all slated for Friday before the Annual General Assembly on Saturday. The AGA will however be followed by a presidential dinner and award night same Saturday.

“ABU Alumni Association is holding its 16th Annual General Assembly (AGA) to highlight what we have been able to do in the past two years. Our mandate is for two years and we have opportunity to serve again for another two years. There would be NEC meeting on Friday September 28th, then the National Consultative Council which comprises NEC members, chairmen and secretaries of all branches across the country including Zaria and two representatives of the faculties and institutes,” he said.
