Head coach of 2012 Federation Cup ‘giant killers’, Prime Football Club, Samuel Abimbola, has urged the team players to retain their focus after the players responded in resounding fashion by picking a vital point away from home against Abia Comets.
Prime are in hunt for one of the promotion tickets to the Globacom Premier League and the Abimbola Samuel-tutored side are third on the log with two points behind table leaders, Gabros International Football Club of Nnewi.
The Omoluabi Giants’ coach, while addressing the players and officials, stressed the importance of the players maintaining their focus and concentration as the Nigeria National League continues to gather pace.
With the NNL games continue to come thick and fast, the squad have been told to keep their focus and not become over-confident with their impressive results because it is still early days in the league.
“Abia Comets result was a big one and evident of the team that they have character, fitness and resolve. We are in a very good moment, but we are just preparing the season now, so it is important to be determined as we have very important games in the days ahead.
“The point we secured against Abia Comets is in the past and we have to focus on how we can win our home match against Gateway and pick as many points as we can away from home,” he said.
