A married woman and her three daughters have escaped from where they were held by Boko Haram in Borno state.
The BBC Hausa Section reported at the weekend that the women were recently abducted in the Askira Uba area of the state after a series of attacks by the militant sect in the state.
One of the girls, a 12-year-old, said they escaped through the fence when their captors were sleeping.
But they are yet to see their mother who also escaped with them.

The girl, who spoke through an interpreter and her identity hidden,
said, “Yes, we were abducted by them – my mother, myself and my sisters -and were taken to a place called Ida.”
On how they escaped, she said: “They were sleeping when we decided to escape. My sister carried my little sister on her back and we all crossed the fence and left the place.
“Our mother too escaped with us but up till now she has not yet come home. But we have got home with my sisters now.”

Their father, who was emotional, commented: “They came to our area and abducted our women and children to where they took them until they escaped and we are with them now.”
An angry vigilante officer who spoke on the matter said the abduction of their women and children was heart-breaking, and that they had resolved to carry out revenge attacks.
He said: “We are fed up and determined now. We are set to carry out attacks on them. It is either the government kills us or we go after the Boko Haram sect that are doing this to us.”
