The Edo state-owned University, Ambrose Alli, Ekpoma, has said the institution has been repositioned as a destination of choice for students academic pursuit.
It stated that the university is now enjoy good government policies under the governor Monday Okpebholo’s admin.
The Principal Assistant Registrar/Head, Information & Public Relations, Otunba Mike Adelegun Aladenika, disclosure this during an interactive section with journalists in Benin City.
Aladenika commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for keeping to his promise, because according to him, he has not failed to remit the N500,000,000 monthly subvention to the institution.
He said the institution is delivering on its mandate of providing quality education for the development of society.
The spokesman noted, “for a very long time, the school was unable to induct medical students until Governor Monday Okpebholo intervened on the matter, leading to their eventual induction. AAU has also recently inducted 204 nurses.
“Also, before now, there were many issues that retarded the progress of the institution.
“But due to the genuine efforts being made by the present management led by the acting Vice Chancellor, Sunday Olowo Samuel, the university has been repositioned to be a destination of choice for academic excellence,” he Aladenika added.
