AAG: Siasia, Zambia coach flex muscles ahead of second leg

Head Coach of the U-23 national team, Samson Siasia, and his counterparts form Zambia, Fighton Simukonda, have vowed to upset each other come this weekend when the two teams meet for the return leg of the 11th All Africa Games qualifiers for the men’s football event of the sports fiesta.
Siasia declared that even though the battle of Luasaka will be a herculean task, his wards are condemned to win so as to book their ticket for the games.

The Dream Team tactician said this before releasing the list of 18 players selected for the huge game at the National Heroes Stadium, Lusaka on Sunday.
The Nigerian team will travel on Thursday.

Former Super Eagles’ Head Coach Siasia insisted that if the Zambians could come to Abuja to get a draw, his wards have no option but to go out there and earn a win.
He however frowned at the attitude of Flying Eagles Captain Musa Mohammed who took permission to leave the camp to go and collect his international passport in Lagos and has failed to return to camp.
The Zambia under-23 national team head coach Simukonda on the other warned Nigeria’s under-23s that they are in for the game of their lives.

The Zambians secured a scoreless draw in the first meeting in Abuja in the All Africa Games qualifier for men’s football and the second leg is now billed for Lusaka this Saturday.
Simukonda said Siasia’s team blew their opportunity of defeating his side in Abuja despite being under the cosh for longer spells in that first leg on March 22.

The former ZESCO United trainer is now banking on support from Zambian fans to help them overcome the Nigerian under-23s.
“In football anything can happen, if Nigeria prepare well then good luck to them. But we are playing in front of our supporters and I don’t see Nigeria beating us. Nigeria is a footballing nation and we are just as good as they are,” Simukonda said.
