49 Police officers get certificate of commendation for professionalism

About 49 officers and men of the Ekiti state Police Command were weekend presented with the Certificate of Commendation for their professionalism, hard work and dedication to duty towards fighting crimes and criminality in the state.

The newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police(AIG) and outgoing Commissioner of Police in Ekiti, AIG Akinwale Adeniran, who gave the Certificate of Commendations to the officers said in his speech at the end of the year ceremony that the command will continue to ensure that Ekiti residents are safe and secured during the festive period in the state.

AIG Adeniran stated further that the command came up with the celebration in view of the outstanding success and unalloyed cooperation it had in fighting crime in the state.

He noted that the command had during the year been able to reduce crime to the minimal.

The police chief commended the people of Ekiti for their support and cooperation which he said assisted the command to overcome the security challenges he met on ground when he was newly posted to Ekiti.

Stakeholders at the event included the chairman, Ekiti Council of Traditional rulers, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, religious leaders, transport leaders, youth amongst others.

The stakeholders commended the leadership qualities of the newly promoted AIG Adeniran and his passion to fight crime in the state.
