2027: NYA President parleys Africa’s influential politician, moves to float political party

The President of the National Youth Alliance (NYA), Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, held a strategic meeting with a renowned influential figure in Africa’s political space, His Excellency Ousmane Yara at his Dakar residence in Senegal.

This was contained in a statement signed by NYA President’s special assistant media and publicity, Okpani Jacob Onjewu Dickson, made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Tuesday April 24, 2024.

According to the statement, the discussions centred on how to get youth fully involved in the 2027 polls in Nigeria.

“Earlier today, I paid a visit to His Excellency Ousmane Yara at his Dakar residence, we discussed extensively on areas of collaboration for youth inclusiveness in politics and governance in Africa.

“HE Yara is one of the prolific political mediators and strategic negotiators in modern Pan-African political history. Born in Guinea Conakry, he is a Pan-African citizen with extensive knowledge and experience in political negotiations across Africa,” Ambassador Abbas was quoted in the statement.

The statement pointed out that some of his achievements includes the negotiation between President Alpha Conde (Guinea Conakry) and President Macky Sall (Senegal), with him suggesting that NYA should become registered as a political party in Nigeria ahead 2027.

He also conducted negotiations between President Macky Sall (Senegal) and President Abdoulaye Wade.

Recently, he conducted sensitive negotiations between the Senegalese opposition figure Ousmane Sonko who is the current Prime Minister of Senegal and Bassirou Diomaye Faye the new President of Senegal respectively.
