2026 World Cup qualifiers: Boniface, 14 other Super Eagles train

Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface and 14 other players trained Sunday  at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo as the Super Eagles intensified their preparation for World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin.

New team spokesman Promise Efoghe listed the other players in training as Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Raphael Onyedika, Terem Moffi and Samuel Chukwueze.

Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Benjamin Tanimu, Sodiq Ismail, Olorunleke Ojo , Chidozie Awaziem , Rapheal Onyedika and Stanley Nwabali also trained.

Late call-ups Kenneth Igboke and Ibrahim Olawoyin were also part of the workout.

The team will train again later Sunday as 8 other players are due to join up.

They face South Africa Friday night in Uyo, before a trip to Cote d’Ivoire on June 10 to tackle Benin Republic.
