2026 World Cup qualifier: Zimbabwe players land in Nigeria for Super Eagles clash

The Zimbabwe’s national team, the Warriors have arrived in Nigeria ahead of their crucial match against the Super Eagles in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

On Thursday, Zimbabwe secured a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Benin Cheetahs in a match played in South Africa.

Following that result, the team and its delegation landed in Lagos on Saturday morning before taking a connecting flight to Uyo for their upcoming encounter.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s Super Eagles sent a strong message to their opponents with a commanding 2-0 victory over Rwanda’s Amavubi on Friday.

The highly anticipated clash between Nigeria and Zimbabwe is set to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday.
