2026 World Cup qualifier: Zimbabwe hold first training in Uyo

The Warriors of Zimbabwe started their preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against Nigeria in Uyo on Sunday.

Michael Nees’ side arrived Nigeria for the matchday six encounter on Saturday.

The Warriors trained at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

All the players took part in the training session.

Zimbabwe will have their final training inside the mainbowl of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday night.

They will face the Super Eagles at the ground on Tuesday.

The Warriors occupy bottom spot in Group C with three points from five games.
