2026 World Cup qualifier: 22 Super Eagles in Kigali, train ahead of Rwanda clash

Twenty-two players are now in the Super Eagles Radisson Blu Hotel camp in Kigali ahead Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

12 players reported for duty on the first day of camping on Monday.

They were joined by nine others on Tuesday morning.

The new arrivals are captain William Troost-Ekong, Wilfred Ndidi, Calvin Bassey and Ademola Lookman.

Others are: Alex Iwobi, Joe Aribo, Igoh Ogbu, Bright Osayi-Samuel and Ola Aina.

Forward Sadiq Umar also arrived on Tuesday.

Only Alhassan Yusuf was being expected in camp as at the time of filling this report.

The Super Eagles will later had their first official training session on Tuesday evening.

The team will on Friday face Rwanda’s Amavubi at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, hoping to clinch their first win in the qualifiers.
