At least two serving Executive Governors have been listed on a Presidential Task Force (PTF) that will now ensure the Super Eagles do the near impossible and qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State are on board of the Presidential Task Force.
Owner of NPFL club Remo Stars Kunle Soname, who has in recent months become one of the biggest promoters of Nigeria football through his airline and sports facility in Ikenne, is also set to be named on this high-profile committee.
Former Minister Babatunde Raji Fashola, a football buff, is also on the PTF and so too former Sports Minister Sunday Dare.
