The management of Edo State Sports Commission, including staff, athletes and coaches, Monday, officially resumed work after the yuletide holiday with a fitness exercise and general walkout at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin City.
The Director of Sports Department and Operations of the Commission,
Mrs Patricia Efe Amenze, who led staff and others on the walkout, said the exercise will last for three days.
He also disclosed that the fitness exercise was geared to welcome everyone back from the yuletide break and to wake up the spirit of their sportsmen in preparation for the activities and tasks ahead.
On his part, Chairman of the Commission, Desmond Enabulele, commended athletes, coaches and staff for their hard work.
He urged them to be more committed in 2025 as they prepare for the National Sports Festival scheduled for May.
