As the Ondo state eelectorate goes to the poll on Saturday November 16, 2024 to elect a new governor, the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its readiness aimed at ensuring victory for its candidate, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, at the poll.
In the same vein, the party stakeholders in the state have also passed a vote of confidence on the its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, lauding his leadership roles, particularly towards the success of the party in Saturday’s governorship election.
Recall that the executive members, leaders and other stakeholders of the party in Ward 7 Akoko South West Local Government Area (LGA) after a crucial meeting last Saturday in Oka Akoko, called on all members of the party across Ondo state to remain united and continue to work hard for the victory of the PDP and its candidate at the election.
The resolution was signed by the Ward Chairman, Adeloye Adeniyi, Vice Chairman, Ademola Samuel; Secretary, Kareem Ibrahim; Legal Adviser, Olotu Augustine; Woman Leader, Afolabi Helen; Youth Leader, Aaron Sunday; Auditor, Olagbe Abayomi; Financial Secretary, Ehinmabaje Joseph; Treasurer, Amuda Sehinde and the Local Government Youth Leader, Ajisafe Samuel among other Party stakeholders.
In the resolution which was sighted by the media, the stakeholders, after a comprehensive deliberation on all issues, resolved to “intensify efforts individually and collectively towards the victory of the PDP and its Candidate, His Excellency, Hon. Agboola Ajayi in the November 16, 2024 governorship election”.
They also commended all the elected officers at all levels in Ondo state for their continued steadfastness and commitment to the unity, stability, growth and success of the party especially towards the forthcoming November 16, 2024 governorship election in the state.
The meeting particularly noted “the activities of Hon. Debo Ologunagba as the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP and commended him for his sterling qualities”
“Accordingly, the Chapter unanimously passed a Vote of Confidence on Hon. Debo Ologunagba, as the highest-ranking Party officer from the State, for his outstanding leadership roles at the Ward and other levels of the Party in the State as well as his impressive performance as the mouthpiece of the Party at the National level”, the resolution stated.
The ward executive also pledged to continue to support Hon. Ologunagba and other leaders of the party in the state in the discharge of their duties.
While expressing confidence that the PDP candidate will emerge victorious at the gubernatorial election in Ondo state, the ward exco urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the election is free, fair and credible.
