2024 Hajj: Katsina set to airlift pilgrims to Saudi Arabia 


As the departure of the Nigerian pilgrims continues, the airlift of Katsina state intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for this year’s hajj is set to commence next week.

The leader of the delegation and state Amirul Hajj, Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi said Monday during an operational meeting with the management of the state Pilgrims Welfare Board, the board members and the state hajj committee that the meeting was convened to discuss the arrangements so far made towards ensuring the successful commencement of the airlift exercise.

He urged members of the committee to remain committed to discharging their assigned responsibilities.

The board chairman, Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai, while speaking, stated that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure hitch- free hajj exercise.

He said the state governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, has secured comfortable accommodation, caterers as well as efficient transport providers among others for the state intending pilgrims while in the Holy Land.

He added that medical personnel have also been engaged for the pilgrims.

In his remarks, the executive director of the board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama,  said  staff and management of the board are committed towards ensuring hitch- free hajj exercise.

Alhaji Dankama also expressed appreciation to Governor Radda for the support and assistance given to the board in discharging their responsibilities.
