2023: We ‘re ready to launch back; prepare to pack and go, PRP tells APC, PDP

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has taken measures and planned strategies to take over power from the leading parties and form government at all levels come 2023, PRP National Chairman, Alhaji Falalu Bello has said.

He said PRP, being the oldest Nigerian political party, is reviving to displace the leading parties that have failed Nigeria in the last 21 years of their joint leadership, based on the party’s unique ideologies, commitments and experiences garnered in the old Kaduna and old Kano states in the 80s.

Addressing the joint meeting of the National Executive Committee (NEC), National Working Committee (NWC) and Board of Trustees (BOT) in Kaduna on Saturday, the National Chairman said PRP has woken up from its slumber and was set to relegate APC, PDP and other political parties to the background.

“I want to assure all my colleagues in the PRP that the wobbly, weary and whining years of the Peoples Redemption Party are over for good. PRP is now firmly on tracks, revving up and ready for take off. We established three ad-hoc subcommittees by the NEC to look at the party and put it in position to displace APC and PDP in Nigeria.

“We are happy to be left among the 17 parties of 91 on merit, we will continue to move forward. I see PRP taking up power by God’s grace in 2023. PDP and APC are failures. PDP ruled for 16 years, APC have been ruling now for five years. The security challenges we are having in Nigeria of Boko Haram, kidnappers and bandits are failures of leadership.

“PRP is the oldest political party in Nigeria, we had the privilege of forming government in old Kaduna state and old Kano states with Malam Balarabe Musa and late Alhaji Abubakar Rimi as governors respectively. Balarabe Musa ruled for two and half years before he was impeached but no governor has done what he did in Kaduna state.

“We have been there with ideology and philosophy, we have been tested and trusted. We have woken from our slumber and we are ready to give to Nigeria what we did in old Kaduna and old Kano states. Those of us already on board this unstoppable moving train should now close ranks and add to the ongoing momentum. Those presently outside should get on board as there is no stopping us now.”

He said the joint session was organised to primarily receive the reports of the SWOT Analysis, the Membership Drive and the Funding Committees subcommittees that the party had constituted at the close of the 2019 general elections to carry out objective and dispassionate x-ray on the party and its place in Nigeria’s political space, with a view to repositioning it for greater performance and relevance.
