2023: Kwankwaso reveals NNPP ‘s focus if elected

Presidential candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has promised to prioritise education, job creation, restore dilapidated infrastructure, and reform drug addicts, if elected in next month’s general elections.

Addressing a Northwest zonal rally of the party in Kaduna on Saturday, the former Kano state governor said his party has the best blueprint for Nigeria.

“We have decided that we will cancel payments for any form either for WAEC, NECO or JAMB or application to any institution in this country. The idea is to allow the sons and daughters of the poor to go to the highest level in education, to reach his maximum potential in this country.

“At the primary level, we are going to build at least 500,000 classrooms for the out of school children who are today over 20 million.

“We have gone round the country to see our people, to take records of the dilapidated infrastructure to listen to our people on what our government should do when we are sworn in. We will create job opportunities, we will stop this madness of taking drugs by our young men and women. We will create reformatory centres across the country. Those who get themselves involved in drugs, we will take them to the centres to ensure they came out as normal people. We will create job opportunities for them,” he said.

NNPP Vice presidential candidate, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, said Kwankwaso is the man to lead Nigeria away from the brink.

“Kwankwaso is a man of courage, a man of the people, a man who loves the poor. Nigeria is on the brink but God wants Kwankwaso to rescue the country. Kwankwaso will rescue Nigeria from cowardice, corruption, insecurity, infrastructural dilapidation, 20 million out of school children. He has competence, character, capacity, ability, agility, we will fight corruption, we will prevent corruption,” he said.

National Chairman of the party, Prof. Ahmed Rufai Alkali, in his remarks said Kwankwaso will rescue Nigeria from security, economic crises if elected.

“Is there anyone who is in doubt that Nigeria is facing security crises? Is there anyone who is in doubt that Nigeria is in economic crises? Unemployment is increasing by the day, we were told that Nigeria owes N77 trillion, we have over 20 million children that have not been going to school and cannot go to school. This country requires a leader to take over the mantle of leadership, to rescue it.

“Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is the only presidential candidate who is not ready to sell the assets of the country. He has served in several positions and he did well. He was member of the House of Representatives, he was governor, he was Minister of defence, one of the most critical ministries, he was senator. This is the man that is going to take over the leadership of the country and the people would celebrate. He is a lover of the poor, a lover of the people,” he said.

Secretary of NNPP Board of Trustees, Alhaji Buba Galadima, said Kwankwaso has the capacity to replace Sardauna of Sokoto.

“Tomorrow would mark another anniversary of the death of Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello, his legacy lives after him including this edifice (Ahmadu Bello Stadium). Our leader Sardauna has gone, but today another leader, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso has come. The only product that this country has and the only person who can salvage Nigeria and has the record of performance that this country want and the most educated presidential candidate, is Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso,” he said.
