2023: Igbo asked to negotiate political power with other geopolitical zones



The former Anambra state Chief Judge, Prof. Peter Umeadi, has urged people of South East geopolitical zone to start negotiating political power with other geopolitical zones, ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Umeadi, who also urged politicians to respect the ballots as cast by the electorate during elections, said it remains the accepted way to go in democratic setting. 

He said there was need to uphold the rule of law which according to him, was a corner-stone for the development  of the country, adding that every other indices for national development depends on it.
The Professor of law at the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus, made the call when he paid a solidarity visit to former Senate Committee Vice-Chairman on Labour, Senator Victor Umeh, at his hometown in Agulu-uzoigbo, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.


He commended  Senator Victor Umeh for what he termed his sterling representation of Anambra Central Senatorial Zone at the 8th National Assembly and prayed for more to come.
Responding, Senator Victor Umeh expressed happiness at the visit, assuring the erstwhile Chief Judge that the party would benefit immensely from his wealth of knowledge and experience.
