2023 Hajj: NAHCON, Indonesian Hajj Mission partner on ICT, others 

Ahead of preparations for the 2023 Hajj, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has partnered with the Indonesian Hajj Mission to develop and strengthen information and communication technology (ICT) and financing for enhanced service delivery.

NAHCON disclosed this in a statement by its Assistant Director Information and Publications, Mousa Ubandawaki, Tuesday.

According to the statement, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NAHCON, Alh. Zikrullah Kunle Hassan, led the delegation to the meeting. 

He noted that ICT and funding are crucial to the success of any hajj arrangement and therefore needed to be pursued and strengthened.

“For us to ensure the health and wellbeing of Nigerian pilgrims, we don’t have alternative but to seek for the sustenance of our ICT programmes from the world best, to ensure better service delivery, it stated.

Continuing, the statement read: “The meeting held on the sidelines of the ongoing 4-day Hajj and Umrah  Expo at the Super Dome Centre in Jeddah in which over 400 participants attended, is to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.”

Alhaji Zikrullah expressed the optimism that the partnership arrangement would impact positively on the outcome of the 2023 Hajj, saying: “I look forward to a robust relationship between our two organizations, which I believe if discharged diligently, will benefit the Nigerian pilgrims as well as enable us achieve a successful Hajj outings.”

 The NAHCON delegation included the Commissioner for Policy Personnel Management and Finance (PPMF), Alh Nura Hassan Yakassai, Operations,Licensing,inspectorate and Tour operators,Alh Abdullah Magaji Hardawa,Planning, Research Statistics Information and Library Services (PRSILS), Sheikh Suleman Mommoh, board members and some staff of the Commission.
