2019: Politicians should play according to rules

Politicians in Nigeria should abide by the guiding principles of elections as set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to avoid incessant killings and destruction of lives and property as witnessed in previous elections.

The problem of Nigeria started from oil boom where we adopted an expensive presidential system of government and from then other political positions followed suit. Therefore, it made political positions look expensive and also an avenue to make money which is why everyone is fighting to get there by all means and not minding the consequences.

On the current security and economic challenges facing the country, we advise the federal government to engage in dialogue with all wearing parties and also seek viable and feasible advice from individuals and groups in order to curb hardship and bring lasting peace and tranquillity to the country.

The survival of the country is widely dependant on who the citizens vote in the forthcoming general elections. We urge people to register and get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) to elect credible leaders that will transform the country.
