2019: PDP has gone forever – Minister

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had gone forever and “will never return to power in this country.”
He said with the tremendous achievements made within the two years spent by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration, “no reasonable Nigerian will cast his vote for the PDP again.”
The minister stated this yesterday in an interactive session with newsmen during his two-day visit to Jigawa state to attend the 9th meeting of the National Council on Tourism, Culture and National Orientation in Dutse, the state capital.
According to him, President Muhammad Buhari has delivered his major promises to Nigerians and that “the difference between APC and PDP’s administrations is very clear.”
“The Buhari administration has succeeded in ensuring the security of lives and property of Nigerians. He promised to fight corruption and improve security as well as restore Nigeria’s dignity worldwide.
“It is very clear to everybody that the Boko Haram terrorism is now reduced to the lowest level compared to the last three years, and the young Chibok girls who were abducted by the Boko Haram have been saved by the present administration,” he said.
Continuing, he said: “With regard to unemployment, the present administration engage over 200,000 youths through N-power programme, more are going to be engage in soon. The APC administration also succeeded on power generation, from 200 megawatts to above 700 megawatts within two years.”
He added that President Buhari during campaign promised to diversify the economy from mono-economy to a dependable economy through agriculture.
“Today, the agriculture sector in Nigeria has been revived and thousands of youths are engaged in farming, food security and commercial purposes.”
