2019: Bello will lose in Kogi – ADC

National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Prof.
Okey Nwosu, has boasted that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state would lose the governorship election because of poor performance in the last three years.
The ADC chairman, who lamented the under development in the state and unpaid salary and pension arrears in spite of huge amount of money received from the Federation Account as well as the bailout and funds got from the shared Paris Club refund, said Bello’s lack of vision has clearly shown that the state needs a visionary leader. Accordingly, he said if the APC makes the mistake of fielding Gov Bello against its more popular and cerebral candidate, the ADC would definitely emerged winner of the governorship race in 2019.
Speaking to ADC party members from Kogi State at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, he said, Kogi State was the easiest state for the ADC to win gubernatorial election out of the 36 states of the federation.
According to him, Bello’s administration smacks of ideal democracy, recalling that he inherited a dead man’s votes which he failed to justify in the last two and half years. “ADC is interested in Kogi State.
Out of 36 states of the federation, Kogi is the easiest state to win elections.
“I tell you, Alhaji Yahaya Bello will lose election to ADC gubernatorial candidate because of his maladministration despite inheriting late Abubakar Audu’s votes.” Explaining reasons he went to court against Bello when he was sworn into office in 2016, he was of the belief that no one could inherit votes he never laboured for.
He urged party faithful from the state to work assiduously in order to root Bello out of office, insisting that the people were yearning for a regime of change as a result of hardship imposed on them.
