2019: Adamawa APC threatens to expel Nyako supporters

Th e internal squabble rocking the Adamawa state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has taken a turn for the worse as the party has threatened to expel former Governor Murtala Nyako’s supporters.
Th e party’s executives issued the threat following sustained bickering between supporters of Governor Jibrilla Bindow and Nyako, warning that should the supporters continue to insist on change of leadership of the party they would no alternative but to expel them.
Also, the party executives endorsed the re- election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Gov Bindow and vowed to purchase nomination forms for both of them so that they would continue with their good work.
Th e executives issued the warning at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the party secretariat and attended by leaders from the 21 local government areas of the state.
Th ey re- affi rmed their loyalty and supports to the Ibrahim Bilal-led party executives in the state noting that it was not time for unnecessary bickering but cooperation for success.
APC AlGON chairman, Babangida Telese, who spoke for all the chairmen, warned that if those calling for the change in the state leadership of the party did He assured the governor of the supports of all the party local government council chairmen, even as Alhaji Saidu Naira urged the president to recalled the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal.
Shedding light on the meeting, the State Organizing Secretary, Ahmed Lawal, lauded the state party chairman for rallying the people round the governor.
