2015: South-west group wants Jonathan to declare

A South-west group, Peace Unity and Love for National Development (PULNAD), has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to declare for 2015.
Addressing journalists at the weekend, the Chairman, caretaker committee for South-west Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ishola Filani, said the South-west PDP and the group were mobilising to ensure that Jonathan “comes up in 2015.”

He reiterated the group’s support for Jonathan and the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu, adding that the group had been doing everything possible to ensure that the “party grows in the region.”

“We call on President Jonathan to run for 2015. We were the first to call on him in 2013, we are mobilising to ensure that he come up in 2015,” he said.
The youth leader of PULNAD, Taofeek Osundara, called on Jonathan to declare his intention, adding that “there is no reason to hesitate or delay.”

He said: “Our action is to ensure that President Jonathan returns in 2015. We are gathered in Abuja to support the office of the First Lady for this initiative. We promise that the youth in the South-west will not disappoint the first Lady and her husband.”
