National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has reaffirmed the association’s total support for the re-election of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2015, and debunked the allegation of his suspension published in a national daily.
In a statement signed by the national secretary of the association, Engr. Saleh Alhassan, he described the publication as “malicious, false and attempt to damage” the image of the association and its leadership “by hired Maguzawa who are not known to Miyetti Allah.”
According to the statement, Miyetti Allah’s national headquarters is not aware of any meeting purportedly held in Kano as the leadership of the association “is presently on a sensitisation tour for peace building and voter education in Bauchi and Gombe states.”
He said those behind the recent publication, Alhaji Lawal Ali Mai Mamman, Dr. Ibrahim Abdullahi and Wakili Ali Babangida, were not members of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, adding that security agencies had been informed of their illegal activities in the association.
The statement called on members to remain calm and ignore the so-called publication and that “they should be peaceful and law abiding as the association prepares for a national launch of its Ruga to Ruga campaign.”
