Katsina Youths Progressive Coalition (KYPC) has endorsed Engr Nura Khalil as its potential gubernatorial candidate for the 2015 general elections, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The youth groups endorsed Engr Nura Khalil yesterday, shortly after its meeting at Fadama view Hotel, in Katsina.
Chairman of the coalition, Comrade Abdullahi Mohd Marusa, said Nura was suitable and competent enough to be elected as governor.
According to him, the decision to endorse Khalil fort the governorship was unanimous “by the entire Katsina youths”.
He said Khalil has good record of honesty and accountability in all the places he worked, saying he did well during his stay in Petroleum Trust fund (PTF).
Marusa said: “Khalil is a product to sell to every man in Katsina. We traced his records and we are fully satisfied with his honesty.”
“We saw qualities in Engr Nura Khalil, we saw patience in him, he contested governorship elections twice and was denied a chance,” he added.
