2015: I have Shema’s backing – Nashuni

Katsina state governorship aspirant, Alhaji Musa Nashuni, yesterday disclosed that he had the backing of the state governor, Ibrahim Shema.
This is even as Senator Mohammed Magoro, pledged to focus on education to lift the people of Kebbi state.
Both governorship aspirants spoke to journalists at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat, when they came to submit their nomination and expression of interest forms.
Nashuni said “the governor (Shema) asked me to contest for the governorship election.”
He disclosed that he was in the race to complete the programmes of Governor Shema on whose instance he has joined the race, adding that his administration will strengthen the ICT programme initiated by the governor.
He said the programme would take the youth out of the idleness that has made them taken to drugs making the state top on drug abuse by the youth.
On his part, Kebbi state  governorship aspirant, Gen. Magoro, who is also the Senate Committee Chairman on Security and Intelligence said his administration would focus on education as that is the major Problem facing the state and undermining her development.
He said: “The education is our greatest problem and we will work to develop the intellectual capacity of our people to be able to attract wealth to the state.
“It is the turn of Kebbi North to produce the governor, we started and our son governed for only one year and some months, Kebbi central had her eight years, Kebbi South also got her eight years now it is back to Kebbi North. Those contesting from other senatorial districts are not being fair on us.”
