2 ex-governorship aspirants, others defect to NNPP in Bauchi

Two former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirants in Bauchi state, Senator Abubakar Maikafi, Ambassador Ahmed Shuaibu, Ex-Commissioner, Mohammed Jibrin Lago, and thousands of their supporters have defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The defection was announced at a grand ceremony organized by the party for the new entrants.
The party Deputy National Chairman, Alhaji Usman Adamu Sufee, and State Chairman, Engineer Mohammed Barde, described the defection of the personalities ‘as big catch by the party’ asserting that they would help in bringing victory to the party come 2019.
Both said the NNPP is youth driven party that was ready to move the state forward by developing the human and infrastructures which would boost employment and entrepreneurship of women and youth.
“I can assure you that our doors are open to people with good intentions for the people of the state to be part of us, as we continue the rebuilding process toward the 2019 general election”, Engineer Barde said.
He called on eligible voters to make sure they have their voters’ card adding that without it it would be impossible to dislodge bad government and remove bad leaders.
Also, Senator Abubakar Maikafi said “we are here to join and identify with NNPP; time to talk much is coming shortly.
