2 Brigade commander tasks promoted personnel on discipline, professionalism  

 

The Commander 2 Brigade Nigerian Army/ Sector 4 Joint Task Force South South Operation Delta Safe, Brig. Gen. Jafaar Ibrahim, weekend  tasked newly promoted personnel on discipline, professionalism and patriotism.

He gave the charge during a Tombola Night organised by the 2 Python Officers’ Mess in Uyo.

The senior officers promoted to the rank of Colonel are: the Brigade Acting Chief of Staff, Colonel Kunle Atilola and the Assistant Chief of Staff Logistics, Colonel Victorio Ashinze.

While those promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel are: Lieutenant Colonel Kabiru Abdul and Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Okwujiako.

This was contained in a statement by the Brigade’s Assistant Director of Public Relations, Adebowale Adejimi  and made available to blueprint in Uyo on Sunday.

The statement said Ibrahim congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions and stated the significance of their new roles in the Nigerian army’s hierarchy.

The statement reads: “The 2 Python Officers’ Mess marked a day of celebration, camaraderie, and honour on Friday, December 27, 2024, with a vibrant Tombola Night, preceded by the investiture ceremony of senior officers of the brigade earlier in the morning. 

“The dual events underscored the unit’s commitment to fostering unity and celebrating excellence within the ranks.

“The day commenced with a solemn yet celebratory ceremony to decorate distinguished senior officers of the Brigade. 

“In his remarks, the Commander 2 Brigade Nigerian Army/ Sector 4 Joint Task Force South South Operation Delta Safe Brigadier General Jafaar Ibrahim congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions,  stating the significance of their new roles in the Nigerian Army’s hierarchy.

“He urged them to continue demonstrating exemplary leadership and commitment to the ideals of professionalism, discipline, and patriotism.”
