17-year-old inventor of Blind Glasses gets KPF’s education sponsorship

The Kano Patriotic Front (KPF), a non-profit organisation, has fulfilled its promise to sponsor the education and development of 17-year-old Khalifa Aminu Alkasim, the inventor of “Blind Glasses,” a revolutionary device that assists the blind.

At the sponsorship event which took place weekend at the KPF secretariat , Sasisa House, Kano , Khalifa received electrical tools, a laptop computer, and an assurance of allowance and office space to support his future innovations.

Khalifa’s invention, “Blind Glasses,” is a wearable device that helps the blind navigate their surroundings by alerting them to obstacles and enabling them to move around independently.

Major General Ibrahim Sani (rtd), chairman of KPF, in his opening remarks, recalled how 2-3 months ago Khalifa trended on various media platforms for his breakthrough innovation.

He praised Khalifa’s innovation and commitment to his craft, noting that the young inventor has demonstrated remarkable electrical knowledge despite not having a degree certificate.

“KPF took the boy to Sabon Gari Market where he purchased all the required tools to boost and judiciously utilise his knowledge.

“KPF has also linked Khalifa with an NGO working in a related field to sign a contract for progressive innovations ahead,” he said.
