16-year-old Ogun student records nine A1s in WAEC

Oloruntola Mutiu Oluwaseyi, a student of Taidob College, Asero in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital with examination number 4281613070 has recorded nine A1s in all his subjects at the 2023 West African Examination Council (WAEC).

Speaking with Blueprint, the Director of the school, Obawunmi Jiboku, confirmed the result when our correspondent contacted him via telephone.

The students, an indigene of Abeokuta north local government area, and a science student of the College had A1 in Data Processing, Civic Education, English Language, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Technical Drawing.

According to the Director, Mutiu’s outstanding performance was a reflection of moral and academic excellence the College is known for in its 30 years of existence.

Jiboku further said that though Mutiu’s performance stands out, the college has always been recording outstanding WASSCE results year-in-year-out.

Announcing the result in Lagos, WAEC’s Head of Nigeria’s office, Patrick Areghan said, out of a total of 1, 613, 733 candidates that sat for the examination, 1, 467, 565 candidates representing 91.5% have their results fully processed and released.
