About 120 golfers have indicated interest to participate in the 2023 TOPFX Golf Tournament holding at the IBB Golf Club and Country on Saturday in Abuja.
The tournament which is in collaboration with the IBB Golf Club is an 18-hole stroke play format and will features men, women and veteran’s categories and is strictly for members of the club.
Speaking at the Press Conference on Thursday to herald the tournament, Sola Adebayo, the Competition Secretary of the IBB Golf Club told our correspondent that the tournament will tees-off on Saturday morning by 6:30am and climax same day in the evening.
“We are happy for this tournament. We have the platform to showcase our talents. We’re excited because golf is our baby. There will be cocktail on Friday. There’s going to be raffle draws on Saturday and presentation of medals and trophy to the various winners.
“Only members of the IBB Golf Club can participate in this tournament in this inaugural edition, it’s strictly for amateur golfers,” he said.
Speaking earlier, Ada Ogbuehi, the West African Regional Manager for TOPFX Golf Tournament told media that they are happy about the partnership with IBB Golf Club.
“We are elated about our collaboration with IBB Golf ,it’s our intention to bring the money market the door step of every Nigerians by this tournament. Our brand is international and we like to be associated with prestige .IBB Golf Club is an amazing place to network. The tournament is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the society,” she said.
